Since 2010, Verventia has played a pivotal role in shaping Asia’s yachting industry and transforming it into a hub for the global yachting community through our world-class events and shows.
Our flagship events, the Singapore Yacht Show and the Thailand Yacht Show, became the cornerstones of Asia’s marine calendar, bringing together yacht builders, buyers, brokers and enthusiasts to persuade regional governments of the need to support the nascent yachting industry and the highly important value it brings to their economy.

Over ten years of dedicated lobbying, supported by partners and sponsors through the platforms of the Yacht Shows, Verventia successfully persuaded the Thai government to reform its superyacht tax regulations.
As a result, it is now legal for foreign-flagged superyachts to charter in Thailand - a breakthrough that opens up unprecedented opportunities across Southeast Asia.
Now, Verventia’s superyacht consultancy arm is the official company that charter brokers, captains, managers and owners can appoint to represent them to apply for a Thailand superyacht charter license, manage the legally required paperwork, and pay the (very reasonable) taxes on their behalf.
Through collaborating with the Thai government, we successfully influenced Thai charter regulations and opened new opportunities for the region.

From 2007-2011, we were the Informa Yacht Group (IYG), responsible for The Superyacht Cup, Monaco Yacht Show, Abu Dhabi Yacht Show, World Yacht Racing Forum, Volvo Ocean Race Abu Dhabi, and the Singapore Yacht Show – as well as many more events.
In 2012, through a partial MBO, IYG became Singapore Yacht Events, and now Verventia Ltd in Thailand and Monaco.
Beyond our beginnings in organising major yachting industry events, Verventia has always been focused on driving meaningful change. After ten years of working with the Thai Government, in 2021 we finally succeeded in obtaining agreement on tax changes to fully enable Thailand’s reform of superyacht chartering laws – making the country a highly attractive and viable destination for international yacht tourism.
When various governments forced a 3-year closure of our yacht shows in early 2020 due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the decision was made for us to acknowledge the industry’s fading interest in boat shows and focus instead on the development of Thailand and Southeast Asia as a superyacht destination – and very timely it was, too.
There was an urgent need in Thailand to replace the drastic loss of mass tourism revenue with ultra-high-spending, high quality superyacht tourism – which it is hoped will encourage the massive latent market for yachting to awaken and flourish.
As a superyacht consultancy and fiscal representation provider (TFR), therefore, Verventia continues to play a pivotal role in transforming Asia into a fast-developing opportunity for the global yachting industry.
